84% of Romanians will buy a household insurance policy
Romanians perceive the importance of household insurance, but low living standards keep them from saving too many financial resources for these financial products. Here's one conclusion of a recent survey of IRES - Romanian Institute for Assessment and Strategy, after floodings from the last period.
According to the above study, 84% of surveyed Romanians will buy a household insurance policy once the deadline for implementing the mandatory character of such a policy is met.
Also, despite the fact that 93% of Romanians understand the need of a household insurance, they do not seem willing to spend more than RON 100 for such a financial protection product, which is the declaration of 26% of respondents. Also, 26% were those who said they do not know how much to allocate for household insurance, not having a clear idea about the value of these products.
The study "Public Administration and floods" was conducted between July 6 and July 8, 2010, on a sample of 1,356 people aged over 18 years. The questioning method used was CATI Fieldswork.
