A new chapter at ALLIANZ-TIRIAC: Rangam BIR is the new CEO of the company
 Starting the 1st of May, current year, the expat Rangam BIR, currently Vice President of ALLIANZ New Europe, took over the position of Chief Executive Officer of the Romanian insurance market leader, ALLIANZ-TIRIAC. Its mandate will start after receiving advice from the Insurance Supervisory Commission.
After taking over the management of the company, Rangam BIR, until now a member of the Management Board of ALLIANZ-TIRIAC, will give up this position in favor of Cristian CONSTANTINESCU, leader of the company since its very beginning on the local market. Thus, CONSTANTINESCU will remain a member of the Administration Board of the insurer and Advisor of the new CEO for a period of at least one year, according to the company.
 Rangam BIR occupied, at the same time, the positions of President of the Board of Directors, ALLIANZ Direct New Europe, Senior Vice President in ALLIANZ SE and Member of the Supervisory Board of ALLIANZ Insurance Company, ALLIANZ ROSNO Life Insurance Company and ALLIANZ ROSNO Asset Management.
The decision of appointment of Rangam BIR as the top manager of ALLIANZ-TIRIAC, the leader of the largest local insurer, by premiums volume, in 2009, was adopted by shareholders in February this year.
Cristian CONSTANTINESCU, one of the three founders of the company and the main author of a well-known success story of the Romanian insurance market, was granted the SPECIAL AWARD FOR LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT at the 2010 Edition of the Insurance Market Awards Gala, awarded by PRIMM - Insurance & Pensions Magazine.
