AGRAS, delisted from the BSE
The shares of AGRAS Asigurari were withdrawn Friday, December 4, from the trading platform of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, after the operation was approved by the National Securities Commission (NSC).
At the end of June, UNIQA Group, majority shareholder of AGRAS Asigurari, announced it would pay to minority shareholders a price of RON 0.38 for each title held, in order for their withdrawal, for delisting.
According to the legislation, a shareholder that comes to control more than 95% of a company, following a public takeover bid, can request minority shareholders to retire from the company, paying them a fair price.
In the next period, AGRAS will change its object of activity, as it will re-orientate on life insurance. Meanwhile, the company will change its name to UNIQA Asigurari de Viata.
The company is in full process of completing and passing on the necessary documentation in order to obtain these approvals, following the steps and legal procedures in force in order to launch the life insurance activity by mid 2010.
