AGRAS leaves VIG too...

The Austrian UNIQA takes over, along with UNITA, also its 92% owned insurance company AGRAS.
Most likely, the transfer of ownership will involve only the assets and the license of AGRAS operation, as its portfolio was taken less than one month ago by OMNIASIG VIENNA Insurance Group.

Before this transfer, the company was only practicing agricultural insurance.
AGRAS posted gross written premiums of EUR 3.95 million in 2007 while the financial result recorded by the company shows a nominal change in EUR of -35.63%, compared to 2006 the operational profit stood at EUR 6.13 million.

Also, the amount of claims paid by AGRAS valued EUR 3.39 million EUR, the gross profit made by the insurer representing EUR 87 thousand.
