ASITRANS-EUROINS grows 46% in 2007
ASITRANS-EUROINS posted gross written premiums of RON 91.17 million
in 2007, growing 46% on an annual basis.
The companies' portfolio is dominated by the motor insurance class,
with a 88% share.
Thus, only motor hull insurance gathered gross written premiums worth
RON 34.5 million. At the same time, fire and natural catastrophes insurance
recorded ROM 2.5 million in premiums, while general liability represented
RON 2.28 million.
In 2007, ASITRANS-EUROINS extended its territorial network up to 95
units, while this year the company aims growing this number with at
least 30%.
The objectives set for 2008 are viewing premium income of EUR 50 million,
a 2.3% market share as well as the opening of a new line of business.
"According to our strategy in 2004, ASITRANS-EUROINS has attacked a new
markets segment every year through launching new lines of insurance. Thus, at
the beginning of 2007 we entered the agricultural insurance market while in 2008
we will mark our entrance in health insurance. We aim at gross written premiums
of over EUR 1 million in agricultural insurance for this year", Bogdan STAN,
CEO of ASITRANS-EUROINS has declared.
ASITRANS-EUROINS is part of financial group EUROHOLD Bulgaria from
the summer of 2007 as EUROHOLD invested EUR 12.5 million for taking
over the majority share in ASITRANS Asigurari.
