After 3 years, Shah ROUF is leaving AVIVA Romania
After 3 years of activity as General Manager of AVIVA Romania, Shah ROUF will leave the company in mid-February 2010, for a new position in the group - that of General Manager of AVIVA Eagle in Sri Lanka.
"The 3 years spent here represent a real experience for me, out of which I have learned a lot, and I am delighted to say that I also had a role in the major change occurred in the industry of private pensions and life insurance", said Shah ROUF.
Currently, AVIVA Europa is looking for a new General Manager for AVIVA Romania. Until he will be found, Janos BARTOK, Member of the Boards of Directors of the life insurance company and of the pensions division, and Regional Manager, will provide interim.
Regarding the future of AVIVA in Romania, Shah ROUF said: "Despite unfavorable economic conditions, there is no doubt that Romania is one of the "engines" for the future development of Europe. In this context, AVIVA Europa will continue to invest in developing the operations of AVIVA in Romania".
The insurance company AVIVA underwrote, in the first nine months of 2009, gross premiums worth RON 70 million (EUR 16.6 million). Thus, AVIVA has recorded a decrease in European currency of nearly 5% compared to figures recorded for the corresponding period of last year.
