Agriculture and Catastrophic Risks - a Challenge for the Insurers
 For many Romanian counties, the potential represented by the agricultural insurance is important, but unexploited, the main reasons being, in order: lack of money, lack of specialists and a very low education of the buyers.
For the first time, the most important agricultural producers will find themselves face to face with the most well-known Romanian insurers at the Vth edition of ICAR - The International CAtastrophic Risk Forum, dedicated to risk management in agriculture.
"People must understand that it is easier to bear constant and known financial efforts, than to bear costs generated by events with rare frequency and great amplitude, such as the catastrophic events", Fanel PLOPEANU, General Manager, FATA Asigurari, stated.
FATA Asigurari supports, as a Strategic Partner, the Vth edition of ICAR - The International CAtastrophic Risk Forum, dedicated to risk management in agriculture.
This way, the company supports the initiative of Media XPRIMM to promote, through ICAR 2008, the concept of catastrophic risk-management and the use of the insurances as a tool for the development of the agricultural sector.
