Albania, Bosnia, Macedonia, Romania and Serbia: the only CEE countries where the population spends less than EUR 100 annually for insurance
 In 2009, Romanians spent for insurance an average of EUR 98.6, as one of the five countries of Central and Eastern Europe where the population has allocated less than EUR 100 per year for these products. Albanians have spent on average to insure EUR 18.5, placing themselves at this chapter on the last position among the top countries in the region. Under 100 EUR have spent on insurance products the Bosniaks (EUR 44.5), Macedonians (EUR 34.3) and Serbs (EUR 75.7).
In 2009, the ones that have spent the most, on average, for insurance products, were the Slovenians (EUR 1,038/capita), thus being the only citizens of Central and Eastern Europe that have exceeded the threshold of EUR 1.000.
Residents of the Czech Republic bought last year insurance products and services in the average value of EUR 508/capita, those of Slovakia - of EUR 374, of Poland - of EUR 329, the Croats - of EUR 293, the Hungarians - of EUR 305, those of Bulgaria - of EUR 113, while an inhabitant of the little state of Montenegro has purchased insurance services in the average value of EUR 107.
At the CEE level, the insurance density indicator stood at EUR 254 per capita.
