BCR Asigurari launches the web-portal for electronic issuing of MTPL
The company BCR Asigurari VIENNA Insurance Group launched at the beginning of this month, the web-portal of electronic issuing of MTPL policies, procedure that will be mandatory starting January 1, 2010.
"We are expressing our belief that the system presented is the best on the market at this moment", said Sergiu LOGHIN, Member of the Directorate, BCR Asigurari.
Through this system, brokers will be able to effectively manage the portfolio of clients, by making offers, issuance of policies, but also by following payments.
The product is being launched in the context in which electronic issuance of the policy becomes mandatory from January 1, 2010. However, there are some details to be established, especially as the market awaits for the ISC regulations for the implementation of this procedure to be issued.
The ISC commitment regarding the measures necessary to eliminate losses on the motor insurance segment is that, starting with the date of January 1, 2010, the MTPL insurance will be issued only in electronic system, from the same date following to also be introduced the bonus-malus system in MTPL insurance pricing. This system involves the payment of higher insurance premiums for drivers who have an unfavorable history in terms of motor claims, while those drivers who have a good history will benefit of reductions in premiums.
Both the mandatory character of issuing the MTPL policies in electronic format from January 1, 2010, and the bonus-malus system represent major changes for the insurance market, which would lead to avoiding the phenomenon of fraud, while increasing the awareness of drivers.
