BT Asigurari has a new CEO
The Insurance Supervisory Commission has approved the nomination of Denis ROUSSET as CEO of BT Asigurari, a Romanian company recently acquired by GROUPAMA.
Denis ROUSSET, 43 years old, a graduate of HEC (Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales) and CHEA (Centre des Hautes Etudes d'Assurance), began his professional career in accounting and financial audit (Arthur Andersen), followed by organizational consultancy and information systems (Mazars).
He joined the Group in 1993 and successively performed the functions of Controller (Eurocourtage Gan) and then responsible for Strategy and Controlling France.
In 1999, he was appointed Head of Strategy / Budget / Result direction of Gan Assurances and contributed to the restructuring of networks and regionalization of operations.
In 2002, Denis ROUSSET became responsible for strategic projects in Gan Eurocourtage. He actively participated in the merger Gan Eurocourtage / CGU Brokerage and managed the project of reengineering the structures and process IARD, before taking responsibility for the Businesses Management and Administration.
Denis ROUSSET has taken up, in early 2008, his duties as CEO of BT Asigurari, a company recently acquired by GROUPAMA. His appointment was approved by the Romanian Supervisory Commission by Decision 187 of 10.03.2008.
GROUPAMA acquired BT Asigurari in October 2007. BT Asigurari is the 9th non-life insurer and the 12th life insurer on the Romanian market, with a market share of 4% and a turnover of EUR 60 million in 2006.
This acquisition reflects the strategic determination of GROUPAMA to expand its business on the international markets and become an actor of reference, particularly in the markets of Central and Eastern Europe. GROUPAMA has made Romania one of the main axes of this strategy, strengthening the acquisition of BT Asigurari by that of OTP Garancia Asigurari, acquisition which was announced last February and which is currently being validated.
