BUPA to insure expats from Romania
The insurance company BUPA will launch a new type of insurance for
those who live and work in the new EU countries, among which are
Romania, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Poland
and Slovenia.
This is a health insurance, according to European standards and it
grants access to treatment in hospitals and clinics all over the continent,
providing coverage for chronicle diseases like diabetes, or in the
case of emergencies during traveling all over the world.
"This region in growing rapidly and, with this type of insurance,
BUPA is responding a rising need of multinational companies as well
as of
local population, who want to cover all of their health risks",
Steve MARTIN, development consultant for BUPA, declared.
BUPA International is one of the most important health insurance companies
in the world, with 8 million clients in over 190 countries.
The company notified the Insurance Supervisory Commission of their
intent to enter the Romanian market.
