Bancassurance, the secret behind the growth of BCR Asigurari de Viata
The significant growth reported by BCR Asigurari de Viata, which sent the company, a member of the Austrian Vienna Insurance Group in the pole position on the life insurance grid operating on the "traditional" policies segment, is based on two factors: "the distribution channel (bancassurance) and the insurance product (index-linked)", declared Florina VIZINTEANU, Chairman of the Board, BCR Asigurari de Viata, during the FIAR conference on life and health insurance.
Commenting on the results from the life insurance market for the first 3 months of 2010, the president of BCR Asigurari de Viata anticipates a positive result for the end of the year, with underwriting levels similar to 2009, or even positive growth.
The first 3 months of 2010 brought BCR Asigurari de Viata an underwriting volume of EUR 19.7 million, approximately 139% more compared to the same quarter of 2009. The result placed the company in the pole position among insurers operating on the traditional life insurance market, with a 25% market share.
"The customer sits at the heart of our growth. Understanding the customers' needs is a means to achieve success, even in times of recession", said Florina VIZINTEANU.
At the same time, the main trends of the life insurance market focus on "using all data on our customers, speeding up the summarization of data and integrating analytical methods in order to start working on multiple channels", was the view of the leader of BCR Asigurari de Viata
