Brokers' share heads for 30% of the insurance underwritings
"Insurance brokers have mediated EUR 630 million in premiums in 2007,
their share heading for 29% of the total underwritings posted by the
Romanian market", Aurelia CRISTEA, Member of the Insurance Supervisory
Commission (ISC) Council, stated, with the National Insurance Brokers
Conference 3rd Edition's occasion.
The market has now 397 insurance brokers authorized by ISC, 70 of which have been authorized during 2007.
"UNSICAR (The National Union of Insurance Brokerage and Consultancy Societies from Romania) implication in markets' regulation field, as well as the constant dialogue with the markets' professional association is one of the positive aspects observed by the supervisory authority in 2007", Aurelia CRISTEA added.
Based on 50 insurance intermediaries' financial figures, Insurance PROFILE Review estimated an average growth in euro of almost 35%.
Organized by UNSICAR, the Conference intends to bring in discussion the actual issues of the insurance consultancy and mediation activity, in the presence of many renowned specialists from the UNSICAR member and non-member companies, the insurance companies also from the ISC, and CSSPP (Private Pension System Supervisory Commission).
