Capital increase at EUROINS
The insurance company EUROINS Romania will increase its share capital by RON 12.5 million, by cash contribution of the shareholders. The decision, taken in November 2009, was published recently in the Official Gazette. Thus, the capitalization of the company will reach RON 73.8 million, the operation taking place with the corresponding increase of the number of shares.
The shares will be offered to shareholders proportionally with the number of shares they own, with the obligation that they exercise the preference right, within 30 days from the date of the publishing in the Official Gazette, and to increase the underwritten share capital by the date of March 1, inclusive.
In the first nine months of 2009, EUROINS recorded a significant increase, the volume of the company's underwritings increasing by over 100%, to RON 219 million. Thus, the insurer has entered the Top 10 General Insurance Companies in Romania, according to the hierarchy made by the Specialty Review INSURANCE Profile.
