Cristian CONSTANTINESCU and Cornelia COMAN, reelected at the leadership of UNSAR for another three years
Cristian CONSTANTINESCU and Cornelia COMAN were reelected President and, respectively, Vicepresident of the National Union of Insurance and Reinsurance Companies from Romania (UNSAR), each with a three years mandate, a decision taken in the General Meeting of UNSAR. According to the General Meeting decision, the Board of Directors of UNSAR consists of the representatives of the following companies: ALLIANZ-TIRIAC, ING Asigurari de Viata, GENERALI, GROUPAMA, UNIQA Asigurari, EUREKO and ASIROM.
"We need joint efforts at the level of UNSAR in order to be able to cope with the pressures, caused by the hostile economic climate, to which the insurance industry is exposed too. The year 2010 will be a difficult one for the insurance market and, therefore, the main objective of UNSAR is to increase the trust of consumers in this industry", said the reelected President of UNSAR, Cristian CONSTANTINESCU.
"Dynamism, energy and commitment - I think these are the key attributes that will help us further, me, as Vicepresident of UNSAR, and my colleagues, members of this association, to fulfill the ambitious objectives which we have set for the next period. From public education actions, increasing the transparency and the simplicity in communication and up to the introduction of tax incentives in insurance, the road of UNSAR must be supported through the active contribution of each one of us", said Cornelia COMAN, Vicepresident of UNSAR.
UNSAR was founded in 1994 as a professional, non-governmental, apolitical, independent organization, created for the development, expansion, collaboration and cooperation in the insurance and reinsurance field, internally and internationally. Currently, UNSAR consists of 25 members, which hold over 95% of the Romanian insurance market.
