Dan CONSTANTINESCU, ISC: "Life insurance will stagnate in 2010"
"Calculations show that we will have a pronounced delay of 8 months between the economic "revival" and the evolution of the insurance market, in a period of approximately two months after the revival of lending", said, during XPRIMM ANNUAL FORECAST MEETING - Life and Health Insurance, Dan CONSTANTINESCU, Member of the Board, ISC.
"If, on the general insurance segment, a 2-3% increase is possible, on the life segment we can expect a conservation of businesses", CONSTANTINESCU added.
"We must keep in mind that the insurance market faces two types of problems at the moment: those related to crisis and specific ones. The trust in the market is not related to the crisis, but individual perception can be viciated in the population's perception regarding the speed of paying claims on general insurance. Of course, into the category of specific problems also enter educating the sales force and the situation of the health insurance system, which unfortunately remained at the same level as last year", the official said.
