Decrease on the Croatian insurance market is coming to its end
Total gross premiums charged by Croatia's 27 insurance companies at the end of October this year amounted to approximately EUR 1,1 billion, which is 2.5 percent less compared with the first ten months last year, according to limun.hr.
While the downtrend is gaining in momentum year-on-year, the premium charged by insurance companies was up 9.7 percent compared with September this year, the Croatian Bureau of Insurance reports. The six-month result was down 1.2 percent y/y, while Q1 saw a 1.2 percent increase.
The gross premiums charged in non-life insurance in ten months were EUR 757 million, while life insurance premiums amounted to EUR 271 billion. The former fell 2.3 percent, the latter - 3.1 percent compared with the same period last year.
