EUR 2 million capital increase for SIGNAL IDUNA
The shareholder of the Romanian insurance company SIGNAL IDUNA operated a capital increase of almost EUR 2 million, after a year and a half after its launch on the Romanian insurance market. The share capital of the company thus exceeded EUR 12 million, the equivalent to RON 43.37 million.
"The group SIGNAL IDUNA continues to invest in Romania. The group has invested heavily in the last 18 years on the markets of Central and Eastern Europe and will continue to do so in the future", said Leslie BREER, President of SIGNAL IDUNA Romania.
Our goals as a company have not changed, we are still in the process of introducing in Romania the private health insurance to the highest standards of quality, but at the same time we will focus on the life and accidents insurance segment. Thus, through SIGNAL IDUNA, the Romanians receive, promptly and undoubtedly, medical services of international quality, the insurance company bringing its direct contribution to the improvement of the concept of medical healthcare in Romania", added the President of the company.
SIGNAL IDUNA Asigurari de Viata officially launched its operations in Romania in October 2008, the company's objective being to gain the leading position on the health insurance segment, by the end of 2012.
SIGNAL IDUNA was founded in 1907 and is one of the biggest financial groups in Germany, where it currently has over 13 million customers, but it is also activating in Switzerland, Hungary, Poland and Romania. Since its market launch, the main business segment of SIGNAL IDUNA was represented by private health insurance, but the German company also offers high quality solutions in the case of life and accidents insurance, and also other financial services including asset management and banking services.
