EUR 23.30 million mediated premiums for AON Romania
The insurance brokerage company AON Romania has mediated, in the first nine months of this year, a volume of premiums of EUR 23.30 million (RON 84.80 million), which represents a real evolution, in national currency, of 8,68% compared to the same period of 2007.
Also, the total revenue earned in the first nine months from the brokerage activity of RON 8.91 million and a profit of RON 3.67 million, according to results submitted by AON Romania to the Specialty Magazine INSURANCE Profile.
The company's portfolio is dominated by motor insurance (76.22%), RON 48.17 million from mediated premiums coming from motor hull insurance, which means 55,80%, RON 16,46 million representing intermediated premiums for MTPL, with a share of 19,41%. Other classes of insurance which have substantially contributed to the growth recorded by the company are property insurance, which represents 13.48% of the total portfolio, with mediated premiums of RON 11.43 million, and general liability insurance, whose share is of 5.84%, and that generated business of about RON 4.95 million.
The company owns 5 local offices in the cities of Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca and Timisoara, and has a team of specialists consisting of 40 persons. AON Romania is the new identity of the first general insurance broker that activated in Romania - KaRo Servicii de Asigurari, that was taken over by the international broker AON in December 2005.
The shareholders of the company are AON Holdings BV and AON International BV based in Rotterdam, Netherlands, entities through which the mother-group controls the operations in Europe, Middle East, Africa, Pacific Asia and Australia.
