EUROINS increased by 26% in first quarter
Insurance company EUROINS Romania posted a 26% increase in the first quarter of 2008, as compared to the similar period in 2007, with gross written premiums amounting to RON 35.36 million.
Within the portfolio, the most important evolution was reported by fire and natural perils insurance with 57%. Motor hull insurance increased by 33% and the MTPL class rose up 23%.
"We appreciate a turnover growth for EUROINS Romania in T1/2008 higher than the average non-life market growth rate. In 2007, the company's main shareholder changed and at the beginning of 2008 the companies' name, former ASITRANS Insurance, officially became EUROINS Romania, currently a member of regional group from Bulgaria.
Taking into account these and many internal changes in the organization aiming to streamline the operations, the turnover evolution is considered to be an important achievement", Bogdan STAN, CEO of EUROINS Romania has declared.
