EXCLUSIVE: Top insurance companies from The Republic of Moldova
 MOLDASIG, ASITO, GRAWE CARAT, DONARIS and MOLDCARGO are the top 5 insurance companies in The Republic of Moldova after the first six months of the current year. In comparison to 1st half of 2009, in 1st half of 2010 The Top 5 remained the same.
The first two companies, MOLDASIG and ASITO, own up to half of the total market (51.4%), as to the first five competitors reached 2/3 of the insurance market.
In fact, MOLDASIG and ASITO were only 8.8% away from each other in 1stH/2009, which was reduced to 5% in 1stH/2010.
One of the most impressive growths was reported by EUROASIG, about 232% in Moldavian currency, leading to an increase up to the 7th place in the top, from 14 in 1st half of 2009.
The insurance market in The Republic of Moldova reported during January - June 2009, a nominal evolution in Moldavian currency of over 15% from MLD 381.22 million (EUR 26.13 million) in 1st half of 2009, to MLD 438.84 million ( EUR 26.16m) in 1st half of 2010.
The complete data for the insurance market of the first semester of the current year will be available in a special edition dedicated to The Republic of Moldova of the INSURANCE Profile, that will be published on the October 19th 2010, at The National Insurance Conference "Moldavian Republic- Realities and Perspectives" that will take place in Chisinau.
