FATA Asigurari extends throughout Romania
 FATA Asigurari, the Romanian subsidiary of FATA Assicurazioni has set as main objective for the year 2008 a strong territorial network development, in order to cover all districts of the country.
"By the end of the year, we intend to launch at least one branch or agency in each county of the country", Fanel PLOPEANU, General Director of FATA Asigurari has stated.
"To create a stable portfolio structure, the company will develop its business both through portfolio diversification by classes of insurance, as well as by a larger territorial disperse of the portfolio", Fanel PLOPEANU added.
FATA Asigurari posted a volume of gross written premiums of RON 25.59 million (EUR 6.97 million) in the first half of the year, over twice as much against the same period of 2007 and 245 above the estimated budget.
The company was taken over in the autumn of 2006 by the agricultural insurance division of GENERALI Group - FATA Assicurazioni - and started its activity in Romania as a company specialized in this insurance class, subsequently extending its field of activity in other non-life segments.
