"The results are perfectly in line with the company's development strategy.
I am pleased with the results we had on the life segment. For a market with estimated
development around 20-25% in 2008, our company's results, 68.6 increase for individual
insurance segment and, most of all, 50.3% increase for traditional life insurance,
are quite impressive", Tudor MOLDOVAN, General Manager of GENERALI Asigurari,
stated.
"As for motor insurance, our main target is not development under any circumstances,
but respecting subscription rules and creating a proper climate for future development.
We have assumed the role to educate the market and, as a first step, we introduced
motor insurance with a franchise for all our distribution channels", Tudor
MOLDOVAN added.
The year 2008, GENERALI celebrated the 15 anniversary on the Romanian
insurance market.
