General insurance - down to EUR 1.3 billion
 General insurance fell by about EUR 180 million, to a value of around EUR 1.3 billion. The nominal decrease, in European currency, was -12.25%; noted be the fact that the top 10 companies, cumulated, fell by 2 percentage points above the market average, the degree of concentration of the general insurance market going down to 89.5%.
Out of the top 10 companies on the market, only 3 have recorded growths: ASTRA, GENERALI and EUROINS. ALLIANZ-TIRIAC, OMNIASIG and ASTRA are, in this order, the first three companies on the general insurance market. While the position of the first two from the top remained unchanged, ASTRA managed a business increase of almost 5%.
With a little over 93% of the total underwritings concluded on life insurance, ALLIANZ-TIRIAC has underwrote, on the analyzed segment, nearly EUR 214 million, down by 19% compared to the results reported in late September last year. The company holds a share of 16.6% of the insurance market, with 1.2 points less than the one recorded in the same period of last year.
OMNIASIG underwrote EUR 203 million, entirely on general insurance, down by 19.6%. Also, the company's market share has decreased by 1.4 percentage points to 15.7% of the insurance market.
GROUPAMA has fallen a place on the 4th position, registering a negative dynamic of -20%. Also, BCR Asigurari and GENERALI each won a position in the hierarchy.
