INGO Group has underwritten about EUR 985.4 million in the first half of 2011
According to preliminary data, the volume of gross premiums underwritten by insurance companies that are part of the INGO group, in the first six months of the year, amounted to RUB 39.8 billion (EUR 985.4 million), up by 11,3% compared to the same period in 2010; at the same time, the claims paid by insurers fell by 2.6%, to RUB 25.0 billion (EUR 620.3 million).
In the first six months of 2011, the insurance company INGOSSTRAKH has underwritten RUB 27.1 billion - EUR 672.4 million, up by 13.9%, of which premiums RUB 25.3 billion worth (EUR 627.8 million) based on direct insurance contracts and RUB 1.8 billion (EUR 44.6 million) - from reinsurance. In the analyzed period, claims paid by the Russian insurer reached RUB 14.4 billion or EUR 357.3 million (-6.8%), of which RUB 13.3 billion or EUR 330.0 million based on insurance contracts and RUB 1.1 billion (EUR 27.3 million) from reinsurance.
On insurance classes, on the voluntary insurance line, the underwritings of the company INGOSSTRAKH amounted to RUB 23.8 billion (EUR 590.8 million), of which Personal insurance - RUB 3.6 billion (EUR 89.3 million), Property - RUB 18.1 billion (EUR 449.1 million), Liability - RUB 2.0 billion (EUR 949.6 million). Also, in the first half of this year, the underwritings on MTPL insurance increased by 9.8%, to RUB 3.3 billion (EUR 81.9 million).
