KOVAROVA: GENERALI will maintain its healthy growth
"GENERALI Asigurari will maintain its healthy growth, continuing the traditional prudent approach". This is the first official statement made by the new CEO and Chairman of the Directorate of the company - Marie KOVAROVA, after obtaining the CSA approval and the registration at the Register of Commerce.
This way, Marie KOVAROVA took over the complete control of management, financial and administrative responsibilities related to the two positions, after she had been assigned, on the 1st of September 2008, to follow Tudor MOLDOVAN at the lead of the Romanian insurer. CSA has also approved the appointment of a new CFO of GENERALI Asigurari, in the person of Pavel PAIDAR. Previously, he had held top positions in companies such as ALLIANZ Czech Republic and ALLIANZ New Europe Holding.
Referring to plans for the future, KOVAROVA says that the strategic directions of development aim to a company's focus on profitability and on the quality of offered services: "We will not chase after a fast development, at any price, but we will focus on profitability [...]. Our customers are used with a high capacity of payment of damages, as we are one of the few companies able to do that. [...] We will also take several measures in order to achieve a more balanced portfolio, between corporate and retail customers, increasing the share of the latter, and we will pursue the enlargement of the geographical coverage", the new CEO of GENERALI Asigurari says.
