National Congress of Insurance Underwriters has come to its 2nd edition
The aim of the conference, organized by the NATIONAL Insurance Guild, and Association of Insurance Specialists Underwriters' Club in partnership with BUSINESS Format Group, is to create a new, democratic venue for exchanging experience, related to the vital issues of insurance underwriting, and working out the strategy of development. Also, organizers have committed themselves to enhance the Russian underwriters' professional reputation among the international community of insurers and insurants as well as to develop methodological bases for estimations of underwriter professional level.
Among the prospective themes of the plenary part of the congress there are: 1. The role of insurance branch competitiveness increase in increase of the Russian economy competitiveness. 2. Underwriting world market review. 3. Underwriting functions in the foreign and Russian insurance markets. 4. Opinion of the western Reinsurer on competitiveness of the Russian companies. 5. Underwriting role in strengthening of financial stability. 6. Professional status: underwriters coaching. 7. Expert estimation of new kinds of insurance offered by the state. 8. Liability insurance: underwriting problems. 9. Problem of mutual relation between brokers and underwriters. 10. Russian underwriting without illusions.
Prospective themes for discussions on the congress: 1. CAR/EAR underwriting. 2. Property underwriting. 3. Marine and motor underwriting. 4. Other questions in perspective kinds of insurance (the mortgage, D&O, TPL insurance in CAR/EAR, legal insurance). 5. Underwriting risks of executor's responsibility.
The 1st Annual National Congress of Insurance Underwriters has taken place on June, 18-19th, 2009 in Moscow and has collected 108 participants - representatives insurance underwriting of Russia and the CIS countries.
