New risks... specific insurance products
 In the context of the continuous diversification of risks we are exposed to, more and more insurance companies in Romania identify and exploit opportunities to develop the portfolio by launching specific protection and coverage products, adapted to the current needs of clients.
Thus, after EUROINS had launched earlier this year an unique insurance product, designed for protection against A/H1N1 virus, OMNIASIG VIG announced, on the 22nd of April, 2010, the launch of a new product, in the context of the unprecedented atmospheric phenomenon recently faced by the whole European area, produced by the eruption of the Eyjafjallajokull volcano.
The OMNIASIG product adapted to this situation is an insurance product for individuals against the risk of medical problems caused by volcanic ash, respectively lung, skin and/or eye problems, at an unique price of RON 15.
The insured who conclude this policy benefit of the coverage for the hospital and medical costs of treating lung, skin and/or ophthalmic diseases produced by the volcanic ash (including the medication costs).
"The policy applies only to events occurring in Romania, as a result of the presence of the volcanic ash cloud over our country. The insurance includes, for free, the children of the insured, under the age of 12", announced OMNIASIG.
