OMNIASIG finishes the first quarter with RON 2.93 million profit
Insurance company OMNIASIG Vienna Insurance Group posted a 68.5% increase of GWP volume in Q1/2008, as compared with the same period of 2007, reaching RON 332 million. Also, a very large increase, of 129%, has been reported by the paid claims, which have amounted to RON 154.3 million.
The most important evolution was registered by the fire and natural perils insurance, with a gross volume of written premiums of RON 49.7 million, 171% more than in Q1/2007. Motor hull insurance also grew strongly, with 146%, to RON 152.3 million.
In the first quarter of 2008, OMNIASIG recorded a gross profit of RON 2.93 million. OMNIASIG operates on the insurance market in Romania for 13 years. Since 2005, the company became a member of VIENNA Insurance Group, thus proving that it can be up to international standards of the Austrian group. VIG is represented in Romania also by OMNIASIG Asigurari de Viata, ASIROM, UNITA and AGRAS, although these last two companies are going to be sold to Austrian group UNIQA.
