Over EUR 370 million for ALLIANZ-TIRIAC in 2007
The Romanian insurance company ALLIANZ-TIRIAC had reported, last year, a total
amount of gross written premiums of EUR 371 million, 17% up in comparison to
2006, according to ALLIANZ Group press release.
Regarding the portfolio's structure, the non-life insurance segment represents
EUR 341 million, about EUR 30 million more compared to the previous year, while
life insurance segment increased by 20%, reaching EUR 30 million during the analyzed
period.
The main insurance classes which affirmed the growth on non-life segment are:
Motor Hull (EUR 209 million gross written premiums, 20% more compared to 2006),
property insurance (EUR 56 million, 42% up) and MTPL (EUR 53 million, 28% up).
Also, within the pension system reform in Romania and the implement of private
pensions system in 2007, ALLIANZ started a new business line in Romania, private
pensions administration, reaching 25% market share in this sphere (Pillar II).
This means that more than 1 million clients have chosen the financial programs
offered by ALLIANZ.
