Over RON 45 million in the first quarter mediated by brokers in the property insurance segment
According to the forecasts of Insurance PROFILE Review, RON 45.92 million
(EUR 12.45 million) is the sum of the gross premiums mediated by brokers
in the property insurance segment (fire and disaster, property damage,
agricultural insurance), between January and March of this year.
According to the magazine, this number is equivalent to 9.96% of the
total subscriptions on the insurance market over the same period. A
noticeable fact is that, in the first trimester of 2007, the first
20 insurance companies were responsible for 79% of the gross written
premiums in this segment.
The study conducted by Insurance PROFILE shows that the market leader
is MARSH Romania, with 17% of the premiums (over EUR 2 million in premiums).
EOS RISQ takes the second place with 11.74% (EUR 1.46 million), as
GRAS SAVOYE Romania and AON Romania follow on the third and fourth
positions with EUR 1.43 million (equivalent to a 11.50% share of the
market), respectively EUR 1.08 million (6.73% of the mediation).
