RAI Asigurari - leader on the travel segment also in 2009
 The business of RAI Asigurari, company member of the GENERALI PPF Group, came in 2009 in a proportion of 93% (RON 11 million) from travel insurance, a market segment where the insurer has maintained last year its leader position, with a market share exceeding 25%.
2009 represented for RAI Asigurari a decrease of the volume of gross written premiums, in RON, of around 36%, to RON 12 million. Also, the amount of claims approved and paid by the insurer stood at RON 9.4 million.
The rest of the portfolio was completed by financial loss insurance (3%), Motor Hull (1.8%), property (1%) and general liability - less than one percentage point.
Preliminary results registered by insurance and insurance brokerage companies in 2009 can be read only in Number 1/2010 of the Specialty Review INSURANCE Profile, which was launched in late March.
