The market will feel, in 2010, the "waves" made by AEGON
If, in what the life insurance market, as a whole, is concerned, estimates indicate a decline of 5% this year, for AEGON Asigurari de Viata 2010 will be the year when the sales and communication strategy that the company has built will say its word. According to the CEO of AEGON, Silvia SIRB, 2010 will bring to the insurer a three times increase of the business compared to 2009, which would translate in an underwritings volume of almost RON 6.5 million.
"Until now, we were silent and we acted. In 2010 we will continue to act, but I feel confident that the market will feel the "waves" made by AEGON", Silvia SIRB added. This year will also appear the star-product of AEGON Asigurari de Viata, which will actually consist of three modular products, that will complete each other. The complete formula that the company has in mind is: product, way of sale and distribution, services and benefits.
"AEGON has shown in 2009 the ability to create customized products for each significant distributor, each capable to sell on its target market. This brought us satisfied quality clients and distribution partners. Now we are taking the next step, emphasizing the services, benefits and comfort of choosing AEGON", Silvia SIRB explained.
According to the leader of AEGON Asigurari de Viata, in terms of threats surrounding the profile market, "if the legislative and the insurers are not congruent and constructive in everything they do, the negative effects will increase, because the market is sensitive, like a convalescence period".
AEGON Asigurari de Viata, company launched on the Romanian profile market early last year, reported in the first year of activity underwritings of RON 2.15 million (about EUR 520,000).
