The profit of BCR Asigurari de Viata increased by 82% in nine months
BCR Asigurari de Viata VIENNA Insurance Group has ended the first nine months of the year with an increase of 82% of the gross profit, compared to the same period in 2008, up to RON 12.5 million. Also, underwritings of the company advanced with over 40%, in nominal terms, up to RON 168.4 million.
Performances achieved in the first three quarters of the year are due in equal measure to the distribution process and to the adjustment of the BCR Asigurari de Viata VIENNA Insurance Group offer to the market needs.
"Since its establishment, BCR Asigurari de Viata has positioned itself as a bancassurance company, and the results recorded this year are actually the fruit of the three years in which we built together with our partner BCR all that bancassurance activity means: processes, operations, products, training. We are today the undisputed leaders of the bancassurance market. Also, launching products with a very high demand, such as the index linked product BCR Garant, but also traditional life insurance products, has allowed us the clients portfolio expansion", said Florina VIZINTEANU, CEO, BCR Asigurari de Viata.
The results of the insurer boosted the incomes from underwritings of the VIG group, in the first nine months, up to EUR 59.7 million, double compared to the same period of the previous year.
The companies in Romania members of VIG have registered in the first three quarters of 2009 a decrease of 8% of the underwritings, in European currency, compared to Q3/2008, to a little under EUR 456 million, evolution saved by the results on the life insurance class.
VIG is present in Romania through five insurers: ASIROM, BCR Asigurari, BCR Asigurari de Viata, OMNIASIG and OMNIASIG Life.
