Top 5 Life Insurance - Q3/2009: BCR Asigurari de Viata climbs on the second position
According to the Specialty Review Insurance PROFILE, four of the top five insurance companies that activate on the life segment recorded in the first nine months of this year negative evolutions, the only exception being BCR Asigurari de Viata, with underwritings of RON 168.4 million, which is, compared with Q3/2008, a nominal evolution in national currency of 40%.
This result, obtained by the company member of VIENNA Insurance Group, has placed the company on the second place of the ranking of life insurers, ahead of AIG Life, which, according to INSURANCE Profile estimates, registered during the analyzed period a volume of underwritings of RON 132 million.
ING Asigurari remains the leader on this segment (business of RON 387.75 million), while the fourth and fifth positions were occupied by AVIVA and, according to INSURANCE Profile estimates, by ASIROM VIENNA Insurance Group.
Preliminary results recorded by insurance and insurance brokerage companies, in the first 9 months of this year, can be read only in Number 4 of the Specialty Review INSURANCE Profile (www.insuranceprofile.ro), which will appear at the end of November.
